I've just prepared a new package including Rogério's patch plus an update
to the Standards-Version.
Given the severity of the bug fixed, I'd go with the upload, but here's a list
of things I'd like to discuss and possibly fix if needed in the near future:

 * improve package description as suggested by Christian (see [1])
 * drop "Suggests: x-ttcidfont-conf": does it need to be done?
 * Update debian/copyright file including current upstream maintainer (Steve White, see [2])
   (not sure about this either)

I'd also like to work on packaging a newer version from upstream.
Anyway, files for newly built package are available on my ~ in Alioth ([3])
