Hi.

In the following emails I am sending some patches that we have in our debian 
tree, in an effort to make the trees diverge less.

As George announced that he won't be making binary releases, it is nice if we 
have a closer release date between distributors and upstreams and having fewer 
differences is one step in that direction.
