Thank you very much. I want to be prepared to the migration of python
2.6 (and 2.7 and ...).

Right, right. I am against hardcoding anything, in principle. :-)

So, summarizing, this would mean that I would have to force feed the
configure script of fontforge for each python version, if I understood
it correctly?

I'm not really interested in cdbs. I actually am migrating away the
packages that I have from it to dh.
