This is actually a combination of bugs #597945 and #594629 in
fontforge, not a bug in lilypond. Once fontforge is fixed, lilypond
should build correctly. [A bug isn't necessary against lilypond,
because it can't transition until the two bugs above are fixed
anyway.]
