[Pkg-fonts-devel] Joining fonts devel team?

Hi all,

I have been working a lot in the last couple of year with FLOSS licensed
fonts. I have been generating a lot of bug reports for Ubuntu packages
on fonts that need upgrading.

Fonts in general don't get repackaged as actively as other packages, I
think this can be improved, especially since these are only data files
and not program code that needs much more testing.

Both Debian and Ubuntu together ship to over 10 million users. It would
be nice if they were using the best fonts possible and, as sometimes
occurs, not outdated versions. Also I have some ideas on improving
packaging for fonts. With whom can I discuss these?
