Package: ttf-linux-libertine
Version: 4.7.5-1
Severity: important
This version of Linux Libertine has a "bug" that affects the use of "long e".
If you set a combining macron above an "e" then the resulting character is set
above the previous character. That is, they fall together and no space is set
between the two characters. AFAIK, this bug only affects the character "e". I
reported this problem to the developer of the font in July 2010. It was
subsequently corrected but it seems that no official releases were made after
that date. This bug renders the font useless for people who depend on a lot of
diacritics. I have now gone back to the previous version.
