Yes, indeed. I have created /etc/fonts/local.conf, added <dir> tag with path 
to directory where tex-gyre resides and now exported PDFs are working :) .
Thank you very much for excellent tip and quick response.

I have filed a bug report at LibreOffice bug tracker [0]. Hope I did not confuse 
anything.

As for fontconfig: Norbert, I believe you mean #669003. 
Should I post link to our discussion there? File another bug report? Do 
nothing at all?
