Dear Daniel and others,
regarding contacting Adobe I can do that, in so far as I know someone who
works there. There are two different issues:-
(1) fixing an error in the code, this should be no problem, it
requires no change of license, this should be treated as a bug that is in
the process of being fixed
(2) seeing if the terms of the license can be changed, this may or may
not be possible
however for both of these issues I need to be clear as to exactly what
changes need to be made.
Also we need to be clear ourselves as to the nature of the licensing
issue namely the question does the current licensing affect just fontforge,
all type 1 fonts made with fontforge or all type1 fonts.
Regards
John
