Indeed they are not supported by git-buildpackage not yet but I think
it can still stay in Git. Saying this because I maintain one such
package myself [1] all I agree I need to handle it manually the new
imports but it doesn't seem that difficult.


There seems to be couple of patches here[2] since the author of gbp
doesn't know our scenario I think its time we use this patch and see
if it works and if it does then I think author can merge it and
release a new git-buildpackage. I will try to give it a shot over the
weekend if I have some time :-)
