Damn. You're right. *Any* executable file in debian/ is executed. If I
remove the execute bit on debian/dirs, then debian/install is
tentatively executed, and so on.
I wonder where this comesfrom, but that's really surprising..:-)
Obviously chmod -x on all files in debian/ will fix the build failure.
