Hi,

You are introducing increased and unneeded complexity if you want the 
packaging for the original version of Gentium to transition to the new one.

Yes, they are from the same upstream but have different features and 
Unicode coverage, not to mention different names.

So, they should be separate packages.

As indicated on the upstream page, Gentium Plus is already packaged for 
Ubuntu 12.04.  Please base your package on this so as not to introduce 
divergence.
