Fabian, re-uploading with epoch 1 seems like a good solution 
(1:1.07.4-2). Adding an epoch is exactly how Fedora implemented the 
switch back to Liberation 1:

I am not a font expert and have no opinion on the relative merits of 
hinting in Liberation 1 versus croscore.
