[Pkg-fonts-devel] Bug#882422: fonts-firacode: bare equals sign invisibl

Package: fonts-firacode
Version: 1.204-2
Severity: important

Within gnome-terminal (3.22.2-1) with font hinting settings as: full, RGB;
a bare equals sign is totally invisible when using firacode, either regular,
light or retina (although this is on non-"retina" displays)

I think the ligature definitions are screwed up. An email address written as
<foo at bar> displays as foo at bar=> (with the => bit a ligature, note the missing
opening < at the start of the string) too.

I haven't exhaustively tested all other ligature definitions or other symbols,
but this makes it practically unusable. This is a freshly installed stable
system.

Thanks
