git-buildpackage 0.9.0 released today introduces "git push" which helps 
ensure that all relevant git branches gets pushed.

Available now in unstable, expected in testing in a few days - and if 
you use stable then really you should consider setting up a testing or 
unstable environment for Debian package maintenance.

P.S. git-buildpackage 0.9.0 also introduces "git tag" useful instead of 
the cumbersome "git buildpackage --git-tag-only" - because it is better 
to tag _after_ testing that the package is good to release.
