 I've tested it with fontforge 1:20170731~dfsg-2 in unstable and reproduce
 it (fails to be built).

 It depends on ufo2otf, it uses python2 and its upstream is dead :(
 https://github.com/fonts/ufo2otf

 Then we should migrate it to python3, at least, and will try to be
 built with python3-fontforge.

 Or use another program?
