We need to work with Sanskrit and Pali languages; the fonts-noto-core 
package provides Devanagari, Thai and Brahmi script fonts (it is only 
the font that provides Brahmi script).

Here is a small issue with Noto Thai fonts version on Debian:
A nikahit symbol (circle symbol above) is rendered, but it overlaps with 
vowels above.

This issue has already been fixed in a newer version of these fonts (for 
example, in the Noto Sans Thai Looped font):
