Currently, without the aforementioned patch applied the accounts-daemon
uses a hard coded UID_MIN value of 1000. This is really annoying,
because we have regular users ids starting at 500 (the default value
about 20 years ago). Now theses users don't show up in the lightdm
greater.

I strongly propose to change accountsservice to honour the value of
UID_MIN from /etc/login.defs again. I can provide a patch on request.

Kind regards,
  Anselm
