Bug#876424: evince: breaking pages when reading pdf files greater than 500 pages

I'm having a similar problem, the pdf sent by Paulo shows the problem in
page 67, 69, 70, etc.
There are some artifacts in the evince toolbar.

I have attached a simpler pdf file and a screenshot. The file was generated
by Kicad eeschema and is a striped down version of a full schematic, The
schematic contained a hidden png image (scale was zero) and there were no
problems with eeschema. The hidden png was accidental.

Other pdf viewers/editors work fine (TeXworks, Inkscape, LibreOffice Draw,
Firefox), however Libreoffice Draw shows the hidden png image instead of
the schematic frame.

Evince shows the following information when the file is opened from the
command line:
