Desktop Entry Specification v1.5

Hello Guys,

Pardon my ignorance here, I was just wondering what it would take to get 
desktop-file-utils updated to support the newer code which supports the 
latest desktop file specs of version 1.5.

The reason I am asking is that I have an application that has a .desktop 
file running version 1.5 that Debian warns as an invalid desktop file 
because it does not know how to read the newer spec.
