seems like a proper way to solve this, eg this summary
https://people.gnome.org/~markmc/openssl-and-the-gpl.html seems to support the
solution freeipa has found.
IANAL, this is no legal advice... :)
The only thing which not seems to be ok is the severity of the bug. I believe
it should be serious, as strictly speaking the granted licence exception does
not apply to the code currently in sid.
