  To whom it shall concern,

Let me initiate my epistle by stating that I appreciate in no
uncertain terms all of the hard work and donated time that many of you
put into Debian Linux.

Whereas I am a user of both the FreeIPA package (generally
throughout my home lab) and I also am a user of the Kali Linux
distribution (based on Debian Testing), I recently became concerned
with the removal of FreeIPA packages (the client really in the case of
Kali Linux) from the Debian Testing variant of Debian Linux. One can
surely assert that a production version of Kali Linux based on a
distribution from Debian labeled as "Testing" is less than wise, but
that is not a choice I feel I can have much impact upon where
impelling the reintroduction of FreeIPA into Debian Unstable and then
Debian Testing might be more probable.

Paultag instructed me that the reason for FreeIPA having been
removed from Debian Unstable and by proxy Debian Testing was that
there was an issue regarding "nose" and the "RC bug". Worthy of
notation is that my limited research would indicate that the issue was
resolved some years ago, yet FreeIPA was removed quite recently.
Whatever the case about that (presuming I am misunderstanding
something) FreeIPA 4.12 is out and I hope that this resolves the
aforementioned issue and can be rolled back into Debian Unstable and
thereafter Debian Testing in a brisk manner.

This message is the basis upon which I thought this issue was
resolved quite some time ago and why I was perplexed by the only
recent removal of FreeIPA from Debian Unstable and Debian testing.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to look into the concern
before you regarding the instant case and I welcome your reply comments.

Please do have a most happy, healthy, and safe holiday season.
