You still need a warpper script. So i think that you have to
keep /usr/lib/nexuiz for the binarys.

Maybe we can add a path $HOME/.nexuiz/data/*.pk3 in the command line else we
have to patch the source tree.
For me nexuiz should me able to read these places (it's what is did with cube
and warsow):
/etc/nexuiz/ # general config files (e.g: original users settings and server
settings)
~/.nexuiz/ # user pk3 and settings
/usr/share/games/nexuiz/ # Debian pk3
/usr/local/games/nexuiz/ # user pk3
/usr/local/nexuiz/ # user pk3
This have to be describe in README.Debian.
