Oh, I just discovered just one more thing, instead of copying the
orig.tar.gz in the pbuilder chroot, I just hard link it (ln
a.orig.tar.gz /var/cache/pbuilder/build/<somepid>/tmp/

then symlink inside the chroot to the file in /tmp

This is useful in case you keep your tarballs in the same file system
where pbuilder does it stuff.
