Hi!

That line is to long, and it is "originally" IIRC.

I think the part about the disagreement could be removed; doesn't add
any usefull information for the user. Try to concentrate on features of
software, not it's origins; mention that it is a fork of TuxKart should
IMHO be enough.

Uhm... isn't there a nicer way for lists?

Hmmm...
- You install some documentation to /usr/share/supertuxkart instead of
/usr/share/doc/ .
- The png-images in that directory are broken.
- The documentation is about TuxKart; at least a hint, that it still
fits for SuperTuxKart would be fine.
- I think you could splitt of /usr/share/games/supertuxkart into a data
package; it's 14 MB, compressed still ~8MB. Splitting that off would
save discspace and traffic on mirrors anf project machines (remember:
We have 12 architecures and some more in preperation).
- It doesn't work! I start it with "supertuxkart" and see the window...
now I simply press four times enter ("singe player", "Grand Prix",
"Easy", "Gorilla") and all I get is this:
====
$ supertuxkart
Error while parsing config '/home/alex/.supertuxkart/config': Parser problem: Couldn't open file '/home/alex/.supertuxkart/config'.
Error: Couldn't find file 'data/herring.cup'.
====
"quick race" seems to work fine.
However, I'm sure even sure, the game is ready for a release at all:
- it's hardly playable on all of my machines, stearing is quite
sensitiv, actually it's nearly impossible to cart a turn
- some buttons are without function (e.g. the "rescue button")
- I had several Segmentation Faults (SDL Parachute Deployed), once it
even killed my complete X session
- AI opponents are really stupid
- Buggy; e.g. in the "vulcano" level I just drove up one all and was
suddenly in the sky, without any chance to get down again...
Yours sincerely,
Alexander
