Looking at your description for \- from below (thanks!) this behaviour
of po4a is broken, or at least suboptimal. I understand, that
hex-a-hop should contain minus signs (for pasting into a shell, as
explaind), but after the name in the "NAME" section, this should
definitly be a hyphen. Should we replace the "-" by "\(hy" as
suggested by the documentation? If so, this should happend rather
soonish, as some non-latin languages might need to translate this as
well.

Yes, I also compared all strings, and the only difference I saw where
line breaks (which are of course only in source).

If you need more information or extra help for the other issues I
reported please tell me, though looking at my time table, I am
probably rather tight this weekend.
