I agree that something more generic, which
- doesn't need a lot of explanation
- translates well into other languages
will be better.
Recently I got involved into a naming scheme discussion and such issues should 
not be underestimated when trying to reach a wider audience, e.g. for 
conference talks.

But of course the ultimate choice for a team name is up to those doing most of 
the work, IMO.
