why must this always happen to me... *sigh* yes, i forgot to add [1].
thanks rhonda, that you noticed my most-common mistake ;)

@maximiliano: please install the nvidia legacy driver from the debian
packages and if the problem still exists, please use [1] to obtain a
backtrace of the crashing x-server. sorry, i forgot to add that URL in
the prior email!
