Confirmed.  I had a look at the diff.  diffstat said "201 files
changed, 3945 insertions(+), 5322 deletions(-)", but I sort-of-guessed
that the problem would come from src/intelmap.c, where the diff is
much smaller (+20, -18).  I didn't isolate the precise change that
triggered the bug, but replacing the file with the version from
2.1.0~0.svn3595.dfsg.1-1 fixes the problem for me.

  I would therefore suggest reverting that particular file to its
previous version, unless of course the actual fix is found and
applied.
