 Thanks, wesnoth team found out that it is a problem to close and reopen
the mixer - the problem thus lies in the libsdl-mixer1.2 package. It has
been fixed upstream in their VCS, revision 3534:

 Would be nice if this can get applied before the library freeze for
lenny. Sam, do you remember that we talked about it? See it as kind
reminder. ;)
