according to our coders, this assertion indicates a driver bug. Was the Mesa OpenGL driver updated recently? It might be a good idea to contact one of their maintainers/coders.

Also, the Mesa driver probably does not give you the best OpenGL performance for your system. If there are any (possibly proprietary) drivers available for your system (ie. ATI or NVIDIA GPU), try these.
