My problem is slightly different, but very likely related, so I'm
replying to this report.  The bug seems to be in SDL, which is why I
filed it there: #500314.

I retested, and it is indeed still present.  Given that it happens for
all SDL programs, it would highly surprise me if it is possible to fix
it in scummvm.
