You didn't check the Debian Games team's SVN repository to see if anyone
had already done the work :)

Next time substitute 'apt-get source' for 'debcheckout'.

Unfortunately Warzone2100 2.3.0 includes some non-free content[1] so it
can't be uploaded to Debian as-is. I was going to wait for 2.3.0.1 or
2.3.1 to be released to resolve this and some other issues. If you want
to do a 2.3.0+dfsg1 that would be great since I don't have lots of time
for that.

It would be great if you could join the Debian games team, for more info
take a look at [2] and join the lists and the IRC channel. The biggest
thing the team needs right now (like all of Debian) is new active
members and people working on attracting new active members.
