You don't want play on that old GPU - but you're lucky, your Xorg.log
says you've got a more modern 965 mobile GPU :)

I've got a 945 GPU in my notebook and scorched3d triggers some bugs in
the Intel mesa driver for my GPU but I found a workaround. On my
notebooks it helps to disable all the water graphics effects, so I'd
like you to try this, too.

Run scorched3d, go to "Settings" and to the "Speed" tab. In the box
"Graphics Detail" check these checkboxes:
      * Don't draw water reflections
      * Don't draw water movement
      * Don't draw water
      * Don't draw water breakers
      * Draw simplistic water
      * Simple water shaders
      * No water reflections for objects
      * No water reflections for particles

Please let me know if that helps!

If it doesn't help, please try to go on by disabling more and more
effects. Maybe there's something in the "Troubleshooting" tab, that
could help at least.

Ok, I'm quite sure it's a bug in the Intel related code within the mesa
package. Since there's a more recent mesa release packaged in
experimental, you might also want to try at least installing
libgl1-mesa-dri, libgl1-mesa-glx and libglu1-mesa from experimental and
try again. But please try out the above suggestions first before
installing stuff from experimental!
