It looks like this is already fixed in upstream's SVN, see simwin.cc
(win_display_flush). You can change between different time formats by
editing the config file (simutrans.tab [1]), the relevant option is
`show_month'.

[1] There is one in /usr/share/games/simutrans/config which you can use
as a reference. Just copy it to ~/.simutrans.
