Hello Team !
I would like to ask opinion on the following topic. Right we build and
pacakge ldplayer, an optional utility that simply plays the audio and
video from laserdisc CHD files. The programm itslef is a big target, a
kind of a miniature version of mame.
Ldplayer is an optional target to the mame makefile, just like mame-tools.
According to Cesare
As a side note, ldplayer is kind of "unstable" software, it seldom
FTFBS during the development cycle (it does in the current 142u
for example) but gets usually fixed before major releases.
Unfortunetaly it is broken right know with
src/emu/video/psx.c:10:26: error: includes/psx.h: No such file or directory
I don't think the fix is complicated to find, however I wonder what is
the bonus to carry such obscure tools in our build process. I would
personnally much more prefer using my time improve the mame front ends
instead of hunting bugs for obscure tools that no one use :/
BTW Talking about the data files for mame front ends , I tried again to
contact the catver.ini maintainer, but the guy refused to license the file.

What is your opinion ?
