gplanarity delay

Vincent,  I haven't taken the time to check other games until now.  I have been trying to check every file, upgrades, etc to fix the problem without having to bother you.  And, to answer your question I don't have any delay in any other game, or program.  I am running Mepis11 which is a Debian build using squeeze.  I setup Virtual Box and reloaded Mepis 8.5 which was Lenny and then Sid/KDE 4.5 which gplanarity works just fine on a dual core (same machine now running  Mepis Squeeze.  Only when I did a clean install of Mepis 11 did I start having this problem.  I did copy the hidden file with the levels to the new machine as not to have to go through all 210 levels again.  I did notice that the delay begins with the clicking of the mouse.  One can click on the blue circle and the

delay is waiting for it to turn white with a red dot in the middle.  Once it turns white with the red dot in the middle it can be moved around freely with no problem.   The delay starts around level 70 to 80 to where it is noticeable.  Also, I usually leave the machines up and running all the time.  While playing level 214 and saving the game at that level the machine needing to rebooted.  After rebooting the levels 210 to 214 were gone with the game starting over at level 209.  I know there are a thousand and one thing that can happen, but I thought you might like to know a little more information on the problem if there is one with the game or the version of Linux that I am using.  Thank you for you time.

Joey Simon
