Jordi, I see your point. I myself introduced dependencies on libexpat and zlibg
for that reason. However...

...that's entirely different IMO, we are not talking about external
libraries, we
are talking about core code. How can we be sure that the binary we build will
come from the right source? We should check for differences between the
trees, which would mess things more IMO. Ehm, no pun intended... ;)
