It's probably <http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=565638>
in libsdl1.2, but SDL upstream have "helpfully" closed that as WONTFIX.
Sigh. It's possible that a newer X server will fix this; if not, I'll
ask X developers how full-screen games are meant to set their gamma now.
