Bug#678888: [spring at it-l.eu: [Spring engine 0003143]: spring segfaults somewhere in rendering (Debian RC bug 678888)]

Hello,
upstream's response is that the bug is in the r600 driver. Please try
whether disabling far textures (in springsettings) provides a
workaround. I think the bug might be reassigned to the package
providing the r600 driver.
Best regards

for details see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=678888
For me it looks like a crash when using the free r600_dri driver.

yeah, seems to be a driver bug... not sure if spring needs a fix...

it doesn't (trace indicates driver crashed trying to create an FBO for some
far-texture, so a workaround for the reporter would be to disable them)
