Hello Paul and Stephen,

I read your conversation about wfmath and thought this link could be useful.

http://www.math.sci.hiroshima-u.ac.jp/~m-mat/MT/eack.html

I fully agree with Stephen here that Mersenne Twister is a completely
free algorithm licensed under the BSD-3-clause.

A quote from the above link. I have underlined important wordings.

MT is a free ware. _Use as you like_. When you use the code, _I wish_
you to let me know how and what purpose you use it, how is the result,
and a proper reference to your result, _if you can_, preferably to m-mat
@ math.sci.hiroshima-u.ac.jp (remove two spaces by hand). _If possible_,
let me know a link to your results.

I'm not a native speaker myself, so I can understand the difficulties in
expressing a conditional sentence. But in this case, I think, the author
makes it clear that he whishes to be notified but only if this is
feasible. That's a pure request or "asks" as he calls it, but not a
constraint of the BSD license.

Cheers,

Markus
