Dear Maintainer,

In Ubuntu 14.04, the attached patch was applied to achieve the following:

  * Use newer system autotools and libtool files instead of embedded
    ones. Run dh_autoreconf* as appropriate during build, resolving
    FTBFS on newer arches.
