Request for permission to distribute Mameinfo.dat in Debian and Ubuntu

my name is Cesare Falco (aka wallyweek) and I'm part of the team
responsible for packaging Mame and Mess for Debian and Ubuntu Linux
distributions.

I'm asking you for permission to package and distribute Mameinfo.dat as
an additional goodie for Mame, providing you retain every right on
your work and full credit is given to you as the Debian manifesto
mandates.

specific terms (e.g. no commercial distribution as for Mame,
additional credits, special advices to give to users etc.).
