Your patch looks fine.

I have only one question: where these icons are come from?
If you have made them yourself, you may add yourself to debian/copyright.
(Into "Files: debian/*" block, for example.)

Also you may push your changes directly to git repo:
http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-games/matanza.git
In these case git log will mention that you are author of this patch.
