yes ,
i can do like you say. (ALT + grab)
<thats take me alot time discover, before read you e-mail>

but must be a accessible, because...
someone's desktop are less friendly to move the window (in low resolution).
in example  Gnome-Fallback (imagine ) in this i can not do :-(  ,
Dwm, Gnome-shell, awesome,
and many other they i dont now.
