Patches always welcome for g-d-p - we don't require that games have an
engine in Debian, we're also happy to include support for games where a
Free engine exists or is under development but isn't in Debian yet (for
instance Duke Nukem and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory have file indexes
in g-d-p already).
We also have some support for games where the binary-only Linux
executables benefit from a wrapper (like Quake 4), and I'm working on
support for Unreal and Unreal Tournament (1999), where the binary-only
Linux executables aren't trivial to install in the documented way any
more (Unreal requires Windows/Wine to install the semi-official Linux
binaries; Unreal Tournament's official Linux installer specifically
requires a UT CD-ROM rather than a GOG or Steam installation, and
depends on Gtk 1.2).

Inserting the original .exe into a game-data-packager-generated package,
either to be loaded at runtime as a data file or to be a
build-dependency, would also be fine.
