Package: dpkg
Version: 1.17.23
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

Please add a progress indicator to "dpkg-deb --build".

Most build process won't need this;
but Game-Data-Packager is using dpkg-deb to package huge things like Doom3
interractively, and the dpkg-deb --build last a long time and make it feels it
is stuck.
