Nice idea! I changed it to GDP_MIRROR (I don't like non-namespaced
environment variables) and added support for GDP_MIRROR=file:///tmp/gdp
or GDP_MIRROR=/tmp/gdp (Python's download library has full support for
file: URIs so it's trivial to avoid needing a web server).
