Package: doomsday
Version: 1.14.5-2
Severity: normal

Hi Michael,

in the 1.14.5-2 upload you fixed #786758 by adding a NEWS entry
documenting the possible crashes when doomsday tries to parse a
persistent.pack file from an older version.

However, since this will hit everybody who upgrades the package
from Jessie, it would be nice if you could instead patch the sources
to catch the error, remove the offending persistent.pack file and
try again.

Thanks for considering!

Cheers,

Fabian
