Bug#781454: steam: Steam does not show up

Starting steam does correctly checking and if necessary downloading updates
(download window appears). Afterwards nothing happens. No Window is showing up.
The background updater seems to run as it is checking for updates from time to
time as viewable on the terminal.
If i manually return with gdb from the mutex stuff in Thread 1 it shows up an
Error Window in grey steam look saying "Fatal Error: Failed to load steamui.so"

I have a I5-2500K CPU with Intel HD 3000.
