Of course I noticed than scummvm is packaged the same way as residualvm
(well, scummvm was first!).

I'd have first to check if this would impact the DFSG games (lure, sky, foaq...),
so residualvm was a lower hanging fruit:

| dpkg -S /usr/share/scummvm
| lure-of-the-temptress, scummvm-data, flight-of-the-amazon-queen: /usr/share/scummvm

There do are games engine for which both free & non-free bits
_have_ to reside in the same directory, lite the quake engines:

| dpkg -S /usr/share/games/quake3/baseq3/
| quake3-server, quake3-data: /usr/share/games/quake3/baseq3

| dpkg -S /usr/share/games/quake
| quakespasm, quake-registered, quake-dissolution, quake-armagon, quake, quake-music
| dpkg -S /usr/share/games/quake/quakespasm.pak
| quakespasm: /usr/share/games/quake/quakespasm.pak

But that's not the case with scummvm games, so scummvm-data
& the dfsg games could be indepedently relocated.

By the way,

All the non-free scummvm games supported by game-data-packager
(space quest, kinq quest, simon the sorcerer, maniac mansion series etc...)
currently install under /usr/share/games/<game name> by default.

Maybe installing the data at /usr/share/games/scummvm/<game name>
would make the /usr/share/games directory more readable.

That's only about changing 2 or 3 lines of shared python code in GDP.

Of course there's no hurry at all, it's more of
a OCD-ish thing than a real bug.

But GrimFandango & MonkeyIsland... assets are huge
and could go into /usr/share/games/residualvm/<game name>/
like proposed for scummvm games.
